Who’s It For
TaylorMade’s new Milled Grind Hi-Toe wedge was designed to give players maximum versatility around the green from any type of lie, and it has proven to be a huge success with a number of Tour players, including Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm. The Hi-Toe wedge will be a great option for players who are looking specifically for a lob wedge with which they can hit a wide array of shots around the green without the fear of the club digging into the turf or the sand.
The Tech Story
From a performance standpoint, the Milled Grind Hi-Toe wedge is all about versatility, and its versatility has been created in multiple ways. First, enhanced heel and toe relief give players a better chance to make clean contact when playing shots with either a square or open clubface. Additionally, a high-bounce leading edge and channel cut midsole combine to help improve turf interaction both on full shots and shots played from around the green. The Hi-Toe wedge also features a center of gravity that is more centrally located, which helps create lower launch and increased spin, a combination that provides players with optimal control of their golf ball. Also of note, full-face scoring lines help produce more consistent results on shots played from the rough, while three pockets that have been incorporated into the sole cavity to optimize weight distribution and help provide improved sound and feel at impact.
